• Brian Burd

    Lead pastor

    Brian is the founding and lead pastor of Living Hope Church. He preaches about 40 Sundays a year, has oversight of Adult Ministries, and has primary responsibility for setting the vision and direction of the church. Brian was born in Zanesville, OH and has been married to his wife, Michelle since 1988. They have two sons, Aaron and Austin, and reside in Pataskala. Brian came to faith at a young age in a Pentecostal church. He enjoys reading, Ohio State football, backyard football with his sons, and trying new restaurants. His favorite movie is Gladiator. He highly recommends the book "What is the Mission of the Church?" by Kevin DeYoung and Greg Gilbert.

    Director of student ministries

    Tanya is our Director of Student Ministries, leading our ministries for infants through 12th grade.  She is passionate about working with kids, holds a Masters Degree in Education, and has substantial experience in both public education and children's ministry.  She and her husband, Vinnie, reside in Pataskala, along with their children, Olivia and Amelia.  Tanya enjoys reading, dancing, and playing with her kids.

  • Michelle Burd

    Connections and Worship Director

    Michelle oversees those ministries that facilitate initial connections with God and others at LHC, such as Sunday worship services, visitor lunches, Membership Classes, and fellowship events. Additionally, Michelle serves as our Worship Director. She is married to our lead pastor and is mom to Aaron and Austin. She was born in St. Paul, MN and grew up in Columbus, OH. She enjoys volunteering at her kids' schools and spending time with family and friends.

  • Heather Tran

    Administrative Assistant

    Heather serves as the Administrative Assistant and provides support to a variety of ministries. She is happily married to her husband Vi, who plays drums on our worship team. Heather stays busy volunteering at her daughter's school, and also enjoys raising chickens and ducks, watching Asian dramas, and spending time with her family. Her favorite movie is "The Sound of Music".
