Our story begins with a few people praying to God for help in finding a community where they can experience God, form authentic relationships, and renew purpose in their lives. We are a community that values both individuals and families. We want to be a people who challenge and inspire each other to make a positive difference in the world by sharing our lives and the love of Jesus with others. By actively sensing God personally, seeking God passionately, and serving God personally, we hope to be a community that reflects the world around us – a diverse yet unified family made up of different ethnicities, cultures, and walks of life ... all different yet made one in Christ.
The truth is that the church has never been, nor will it ever be, perfect. However, at Living Hope, we believe its shortcomings cannot deter us from our purpose, to love God and love our neighbor. We know that we were designed for community with others, and one place that is called to demonstrate the best of community life should be the church. The church is not a corporation but a new outpost of humanity created by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, one that expresses itself as a community of faith in the Living God. The Scriptures describes it as a body or a family. That is why at Living Hope we take seriously our role to serve our community and exist as a place that offers people hope and purpose, even as we challenge people to discover and live the abundant life God desires for everyone.
